Q(uick) Tip- Take-One Boxes

You don't have to lurk in parking lots placing your flyer on car windshields or go door to door leaving flyers in mailboxes to advertise your business. Consider a take- one box.

A take-one box is a place where you can leave literature and where prospective customers pick up said literature. If you have a storefront you can simply plop a take-one box on the front counter. If not, look for non-competing amiable store owners who would allow you to place a take-one box in their store. Also look for other opportunities to place your flyer or business card for free. For examples, some businesses have bulletin boards that you can use. Others have glass bowls where you can leave your business card.

Here's a sneaky thing I sometimes do-- I leave my business card in library books or include one with all correspondence including bills! Be creative, think outside the box as they say, and you can come up with lots of free and creative ways to advertise your business.
